Melin Llynon is an ancient windmill built in 1775 and is the last working windmill in Wales.

The mill was fully restored by the Anglesey County Council in the 1980’s but went back into disrepair by 2019. In 2021, work began on a second restoration project and was completed in 2024. Melin Llynon now proudly boasts the title of “The Last Working Windmill in Wales” once again safeguarding the island’s heritage.

The windmill is open to the public between April and September. We cannot guarantee that the windmill will be working on any given day, so treat it as a wonderful bonus if the sails are turning on your visit!
